What Exactly Happened in Five Nights at Freddy's 4?

What Exactly Happened in Five Nights at Freddy’s 4?

Many a FNAF fan rejoiced when the fourth instalment of this devious franchise was released early. Many of these same fans then finished rejoicing after they’d experienced the game and sat with a confused look on their face, myself very much included in that. Being the last instalment meant many were expecting some answers to the many questions. What we got however was more questions, however Scott Cawthon has said himself he’s happy with the game and the Halloween dlc won’t be adding to the story so somewhere in there are the answers. Time to try and find them.

Any time when discussing FNAF 4 there’s always something looming overhead which I’ll get out of the way. Fredbear and his chomp on the child’s head, is this the famous bite of 87. Short answer no … I think. Even when I first saw the night 5 cut scene my eyebrows were raised, I thought something wasn’t quite right and there’s a lot of evidence saying that this cannot be the bite. Firstly and most obviously the child dies after night 6. We hear the heart monitor flat line which surely means the child’s death. Phone Guy tells us on night 1 in FNAF 1 (The only mention of the bite throughout the series interestingly) that the victim survives. FNAF 1’s year is vague but it is later than 1987. The child could have been in a coma (Although phone guy never mentioned this) for all that time and eventually passed after FNAF 1 but this seems unlikely.

There’s more too, the bite has to have taken place before FNAF 2 due to the presence of Fredbear and Spring Bonnie. However this isn’t possible due to one more damming piece of evidence. The bite of 87 is the reason animatronics cannot walk around during the day as said by phone guy on night 1 of FNAF 1. Fredbear bites the child while on stage performing (Not moving around) and in FNAF 2 phone guy tells us the animatronics can walk around during the day meaning this ‘bite’ cannot take place before FNAF 2.

I’ve seen many theories where people try to prove loopholes to make this event the bite of 87. There are many theories like this out there, saying that maybe the child died after FNAF 1 or that Phone Guy in FNAF 1 said that people can live without a frontal lobe and didn’t actually specifically refer to the victim and they can walk around in FNAF 2 because they’re toy animatronics. They’re well put together and interesting theories and they had me believing something like this to when I started putting this together put unfortunately I just don’t think it’s possible. Maybe it was the intention for this to be the bite of 87 but it’s just not possible when following the events of the previous games.

So what did we actually see? A spring lock failure is what springs to my mind. Terrible puns aside we already knew there was an incident with “multiple and simultaneous spring lock failures”. The bite in FNAF 4 fits the description and also explains how the purple man wore the spring Bonnie suit safely for all that time, the problem was with Fredbear. However if this is the case and this was the reason the spring suits we stopped being used by the pizzerias then what happened to this child. From the night 6 cut scene in FNAF 4 it seems highly probable he became a recurring figure in the series. There are multiple theories. Firstly and perhaps the obvious idea is Golden Freddy due to the Fredbear plush and obvious link to Fredbear in general. The problem with this is Golden Freddy was bought to life by the Puppet as seen in the FNAF 2 mini game Give Gifts, Give Life. The Puppet is strangely not in FNAF 4 (Although I think he’s in the locked chest) and it’s the Fredbear plush that is scene saying he’ll put the child back together. Even this however is not cut and dry as it could be the older brother saying this to the child who is at this point slipping away for good.

So maybe this child is the Puppet? The problem with this is the Take Cake mini game in FNAF 2 where we see a crying child being murdered followed by a jump scare by the Puppet. I think we all agree this is the first event we know of in the timeline (When else could it be) and if the Puppet ins’t being created here why the jump scare. Some think this is Fredbear being created and not the puppet but I do not believe this to be true and the proof lies in Golden Freddy.

Are Golden Freddy and Fredbear the same entity? Sort of but not really. Fredbear is a physical animatronic as we know but notice how we never see the physical animatronic after the event we see in FNAF 4. Instead we get Golden Freddy who can go through closed doors and seemingly teleport. He’s been speculated to be a hallucination in the past but I think he’s a ghostly entity. The Puppet in the Give Gift mini games is seen putting the bodies in the suit but we don’t see this with Golden Freddy and the fifth child. What happened I think is the dead child’s soul was bought to life in the form of a ghostly version of Fredbear that we all know as Golden Freddy. Watch the Give Gifts mini game this is clearly what happens.

Another issue I’ve had with placing this child as an animatronic is that the animatronics all want revenge on the man that murdered them right? Isn’t this why they attack night guards in the first place. Remember what phone guy said in FNAF 2, they react to the kids’ just fine but when they encounter an adult they just stare. The FNAF 4 child has no reason to attack adults and night guards after being killed by Fredbear but due to the final cut scene we know he’s likely around somewhere as an animatronic. The answer I think lies in Nightmare, the brand new animatronic. It’s a dark version of Fredbear which sounds awfully familiar. FNAF 2 has a dark version of Golden Freddy, the infamous Shadow Freddy. Shadow Freddy doesn’t kill the Night Guard, he sits around in the parts and services room and leads Animatronics to purple guy which leads to the children’s souls being released.

In my previous theory (Which is linked below, a lot of it still holds strong) I suggested Shadow Freddy and Bonnie were early renditions of phantoms. Where my new idea leaves shadow Bonnie is unknown to me but I think most logical evidence points towards the child in FNAF 4 becoming Shadow Freddy.

So who actually was this child before his unfortunate demise? Many have suggested he’s purple guy’s son and there is evidence to support this. We know purple guy works at the pizzeria (we see him helping someone into Spring Bonnie in what looks like a safe room. This would explain how the child keeps ending up at the pizzeria, how he has all the toys and how he has access to the mangle in the other room. The house layout is also very similar to the office and corridors in FNAF 1 and the pizzeria we see in the game I think was before the one in FNAF 2 opened which happens to be the same building used in FNAF 1.

The problem with this I have is how the Purple Man murdered the children for the revenge of the death of his younger son. Firstly, his older son was one of his children, if he cares so much about his child to murder in revenge why would he actually kill another child of his own. Secondly, the murder in the Take Cake mini game has a child completely unrelated to that incident so why murder that child (This murder took place before the events of FNAF 4) and finally more murders appear to take place in FNAF 2 which would mean the purple man continued murdering children after taking revenge.

There’s one more point I wanted to discuss, the Fredbear Plush. At first I thought it was an imaginary friend type thing as it spoke to the child but as the game went on it seemed very apparent it was possessed. The question is possessed how or by who. The only answer I can come up with is it’s the Puppet talking to the child through this plush. However I admit that is a bit of a stretch as is quite a lot of this theory, honestly I’m still not sure if I missed something that proves Fredbear’s bite was actually the bite of 87. For the record I’m not claiming this is a bite of 83 rather that it was a spring lock failure took place at some point.

So that’s what I’ve got, I’m working on a complete timeline so if you enjoyed this look out for that and if you think I’m wrong tell me why, I doubt anyone could figure out this lore without help. Finally check out the previous theories linked below for the identity of the purple guy, on that FNAF 4 changes nothing.

Was Patrick Star secretely a Sociopath?

Was Patrick Star secretly a Sociopath?

SpongeBob Square Pants was a happy childhood show of mine. I was blissfully unaware of what was going on back then and while I missed many adult jokes including a scene of SpongeBob watching sea urchin porn and a joke about prison rape looking back I can laugh at how this stuff was put in such a show. Some things are not a laughing matter however, this thing being the monster that is Patrick.

First things first in the title I used the word sociopath for a reason. The reason I use sociopath is because I think Patrick has antisocial personality disorder which means the person has a long term pattern of manipulating, exploiting or violating the rights of others. Let’s take a closer look at Patrick and prove this accusation.

First things first Patricks’ most defining characteristic is stupidity. Sure there was a time where you could describe it as charming and often it wasn’t particularly destructive. The key thing here is manipulation is clearly mentioned in the definition of antisocial personality disorder. Someone with this disorder would manipulate people into believing they’re harmless and what they’re doing has no malicious intent.

That being said maybe things are more questionable when Patrick becomes malicious, destructive cruel. I’m going to discuss a few examples although it should be noted that I could never possibly go over every example of Patrick’s monstrosities in one blog post. I will talk about what I think are some of the worst however starting with an episode I actually remember disliking for its mean spirited nature as a child, I’m With Stupid. As an adult I like to over analyse everything and look into connotations and implications of everything but as a child I was kind of easily pleased and hence an episode that bugged me back then shows the evil intentions of Patrick.

The episode starts with Patrick preparing for his parents coming over. He’s worried because they think he’s stupid so SpongeBob offers to act stupid to make Patrick look better. This starts off okay but eventually Patrick supposedly forgets (Although could purposefully be ignoring) that SpongeBob is just acting. The levels of verbal abuse thrown at SpongeBob, Patricks supposed best friend aren’t funny and are kind of uncomfortable to watch. SpongeBob eventually snaps and runs away and some strange ending happens where these aren’t Patrick’s real parents. The important thing however is Patrick gets away with all his bullying towards SpongeBob free of any consequence or repercussions.

My next example is another episode I remember from when I was younger, Valentine’s Day. Patrick thinks SpongeBob hasn’t got him a present despite the fact that he gave SpongeBob a broken up rock and the gift is on its way Patrick goes insane and threaten innocent civilians and nearly destroys an amusement park. He threaten random people because he can’t get what he wants. Guess what, at the end he gets his gift and faces no consequences.

There’s one more example that I want to talk about, it’s an episode called Karate Star. As the title suggests Patrick learns karate and becomes an expert as he can karate chop through anything. Naturally he nearly destroys the town but this is not the worst part. He walks over the pram with an infant inside and if he had not been stopped by SpongeBob would have murdered a baby. HE NEARLY MURDERED A BABY! Later on he apparently feels guilty and it’s supposed to be redeemable. I’ll repeat, we’re supposed to accept his redemption AFTER HE NEARLY MURDERED A BABY!

Those are three big examples and believe me there are many more. I know what you’re thinking (Yes I can read minds) you’re thinking that Patrick is just stupid and doesn’t realise what he’s doing. I’d argue that this shows he has no concept of right and wrong and simply does what he pleases out of selfish desires but the argument that he’s really that stupid is just as valid … if it wasn’t for one more episode called the card. In this episode Patrick has a valuable trading card SpongeBob wants. At one point Patrick walks into goo lagoon with the card and SpongeBob lifts up Patrick too keep the card undamaged. Afterwards SpongeBob asks why Patrick walked into the lagoon. Patricks reply says it all, he says SpongeBob you can’t always expect my usual brand of stupidity, I like to mix it up, keep ye on yer toes. He’s fully aware of how stupid he acts, it’s all a ruse.

I think this proof is blatant of Patrick’s intentions, he causes destruction and misery because he wants to. His stupidity has been a façade all along to allow him to get away with his malicious acts. I don’t think there’s any doubt he’s a sociopath. Of course some of you are thinking that I’m taking this kids cartoon too seriously. It’s not like you need to put effort in during a Kids Cartoon right? Wrong, kid’s television can really influence a child, after all children watching SpongeBob can often be at an age where they are innocent and easily influenced. A good morale with characters they can relate to is important as cartoons can be a good way to teach children important lessons in a fun and colourful way. Having a character act selfishly is fine as long as it is portrayed as wrong and they face consequences for what they’re done.

You’ll often hear people say something along the lines of “it’s just a kids show, you don’t really need to try”. Patrick was a loveably stupid character at first but whether it was intentional or not he became a sociopath and he’s now a very evil man … Star. Is this what we should be showing our kinds, the attempted murder of a Baby, I’ll let you make up your own mind on that.

What exactly happened in Five Night's at Freddy's part 2 - Answering those all important Questions

Answering those all Important Five Nights at Freddy’s Questions

Today’s the day I attempt to solve Five Night’s at Freddy’s. If you haven’t read the first part of this theory, I recommend you do, while not 100% necessary it will give more context to what I’m saying here (Here’s the link http://thecoolstuffblog12.blogspot.co.uk/2015/06/what-exactly-happened-in-five-nights-at.html ). I’ve scoured everywhere from YouTube to Reddit to my highly impressive brain and these are my findings.

Firstly, who are shadow Freddy and shadow Bonnie? They seem really important but not in an obviously apparent way.To cut to the chase I think they are the phantom versions of Freddy and Bonnie and here’s why. Firstly, a phantom for Bonnie and Freddy are noticeably missing from FNAF 3 and while there is a phantom Freddy, after looking at its design closer I am convinced that it is actually a phantom of Golden Freddy. From the shape of the head, its golden tinge, the missing ear and even the slight tilt of the head there are too many similarities to ignore. Some people believe the Freddy that appears to the left of your office occasionally is Golden Freddy however due to its colouration it is more likely shadow Freddy.

It is my belief that both the phantom and shadow animatronics are apparitions created by the puppet. Don’t forget that the puppet doesn’t just want to kill the purple guy, this is a tormented child’s soul looking for vengeance. He attacks both Jeremy and Fritz in FNAF 2 and is in control of the animatronics that attack Mike in FNAF 1. It therefore makes sense that the phantom animatronics in FNAF 3 contribute to the player character, a night guard’s death as for years the puppet has been on a crusade to save the children from what he thinks as a child are evil night guards. Think about the behaviour of the shadow animatronics, in FNAF 2 both of them randomly appear and crash your game, which likely mean they kill you, a night guard. In FNAF 3 shadow Bonnie takes cake to a child to free his soul and shadow Freddy leads the animatronics to be dismantled, ultimately leading to the children’s souls being released. They’re helping children, just like the puppet would.

The only issue with this idea is the withered look of the phantoms in comparison to the clean looking state of the shadow animatronics. Here’s the thing though, the phantom animatronics were created by the puppet at a point where he intended to burn down the building, they’re apparitions of the future state of the animatronics we see in the box of spare parts looking completely fine in the office. The shadow animatronics meanwhile we created years before this plan of burning the building, long before the animatronics were scattered and dismantled. It should also be noted that aside from the withered nature of the phantoms the shadow animatronics and phantoms do share many features including the distinctive white eyes and ghostly appearance making many believe they are simply hallucinations, however I think prove they are creations of the puppet's doing.

Another difficult to place animatronic is Golden Freddy. It’s pretty much accepted that the fifth child was stuffed into the Golden Freddy suit however I don’t believe this is the case, at least not exactly. When we hear of an unfortunate incident involving multiple spring lock failures in a spring lock suit I think this was only the Golden Freddy suit that went wrong. The killer seems to have used the Spring Bonnie suit safely on multiple occasions and it only kills him when there’s rain on the ground to loosen the locks. The Golden Freddy spring suit however I think was the one involved in the incident all the way back in the original pizzeria location killing an innocent employee. The killer took the Spring Bonnie suit knowing it was okay to use and the Golden Freddy suit was hidden away. The Golden Freddy we see is an apparition, created by the Puppet. This is the ghost of the fifth murdered child in the form of the ghostly Golden Freddy. This explains his strange behaviours throughout the games, from his ghostly attacks and his disappearing when you touch him in the Save Them mini game as well as the lone endoskeleton that can be found in FNAF 1 and 2, it used to belong to Golden Freddy who is now out of commission and hidden away somewhere for good.

Golden Freddy is the lost soul of the fifth murdered child but unlike the others he’s not haunting an animatronic that is still in use, rather taking the form of a decommissioned and dangerous spring lock suit after being formed by the Puppet. Remember in the Give Life mini game in FNAF 2 we don’t see the puppet stuff this final child into a suit like the other 4, rather Golden Freddy’s head comes at you from the dead child, showing us how the Puppet bought this terrifying golden bear, this ghost to life.

The bite of 87 is a huge incident in the timeline and yet we have had very little revealed over the three games. It is scarcely mentioned however I think the key to figuring out what happens is in FNAF2. The likely victim of the bite is Jeremy Fitzgerald as at the end of night 6 he is moved to day shift with the restaurant being shut the next day with no more night shifts after this day shift in which Jeremy was guarding over due to the now obviously apparent danger. Jeremy being the victim would also explain the November date on his pay check despite being welcomed to his new summer job on night 1, he was in hospital in critical condition and thus didn’t receive his pay check until months later. This also shows us the phone calls from FNAF 2 are likely recorded the day Jeremy receives them. Before the new FNAF 4 teaser images I would’ve said the biter is almost certainly Mangle due to its larger jaw, sharper teeth and jump scare where it attacks the top of the head. However the FNAF 4 teasers do seem to be hinting at the nightmare animatronics having a role to play in this strange incident.

So that’s one more question answered leaving only one. The big one. The identity of the purple man. I’ll start by addressing the elephant in the room, phone guy. Many believe the phone guy is the culprit and honestly a lot of evidence does point at him HOWEVER I have the proof of this guy’s innocence in the murders and it comes from the FNAF 3 mini games where purple man dismantled the animatronics and then is crushed by the spring Bonnie suit. FNAF 3 has both good and bad endings that I’ve already mentioned. Since neither has been declared canon the events of the timeline must take place in a way for both to be possible. This means the FNAF 3 minigames must take place AFTER the events of FNAF 1? Why? Firstly we see the animatronics who are not withered being dismantled. In FNAF 1 the animatronics are in full working order and are not damaged, showing us that these events need to have taken place after FNAF 1. Also the building we see is in disrepair, there are leaks in the ceiling and rats on the floor. However the animatronics have already been moved there, showing us this is after the building was repaired and re-opened. The buildings damaged state shows us this is after the building was abandoned and after the restaurant shut down, therefore this must have taken place after the FNAF 1 building was abandoned and therefore phone guy cannot be the killer as we know he was killed by the animatronics before the events of FNAF 1, while purple guy dies in these mini games after FNAF 1.

The difficult thing is that the purple guy may be someone we’ve never met. However if it is someone we’ve met in the games the most evidence points towards none other than FNAF 2’s custom night guard, Fritz Smith. I have evidence and I hope you'll be convinced. Firstly the murderer must have been present in FNAF 2, the Phone Guy mentions the building is on lock down, especially to former employees. The next clue comes from Fritz’s pink slip after he’s fired. It says he is employee number 3. Who are the previous 2 employee’s? We know there’s a day shift worker and many would assume Jeremy Fitzgerald is the other. However we know Phone Guy was an employee of this location as he must have worked there to record his messages. This means that FNAF 2’s custom night takes place before the other 6 nights. I think that Fritz Smith takes the night shift of the night after the now day worker quit due to 'conditions' as phone guy puts it.

We also know Fritz can tamper with animatronics due to the reasons he is fired. This would explain the strange item in his purple guy’s hand in the save them mini game as well as disabling Freddy and being capable of dismantling the animatronics in FNAF 3. This could also explain the aggression from the toy animatronics who remember are not possessed by dead children, he tampered with their facial recognition software so they would react to any adult (They attack Jeremy Fitzgerald in night 1 and presumably the day shift worker), not just him. Remember he was arrested as a suspect for the first missing children incident and would thus be on a criminal database like the one the toy animatronics are linked too. Him working in the FNAF 2 location would also explain the badge on purple guys chest in the Save Them mini game that takes place in the FNA 2 location and also explain the badges absence in the FNAF 3 mini games that take place long after FNAF 2 where he was fired.

An important thing to note is Phone Guy talk of rumours of the company as early as night 1 in FNAF 2, he doesn’t ever say he’s just talking of the old location. Therefore the murders could easily have taken place before Jeremy’s first night. So why isn’t the killer the day shift worker? Because he’s dead. Phone guy says this day shift worker complained about conditions and animatronics tried to get into his office and then later talks about the amazing solution of the Freddy head. See where I’m going with this, this worker didn’t have a Freddy head. This is why Jeremy and Fritz were both given one, to avoid them being killed. This so called day shift worker was likely killed by one of the old animatronics as this was before purple guy tampered with their facial recognition software. This company isn’t exactly concerned about  the morale issues of covering things up, this guard’s death is just another example and while he probably didn’t enjoy his savage death this does suggest he is not the killer.

After all that there is still one huge flaw to my theory. The killer must have worked in one of the previous locations that used the spring suits and the safe rooms and more importantly listened to the Phone Guy’s recording explaining how they work, with the safe rooms being invisible to cameras and animatronics and how to use the spring lock suits as we know the killer used a yellow spring suit. The Phone Guy also mentioned in his FNAF 2 night 6 phone call that the building is on lock down, especially concerning previous employees. However I do have something that could strongly suggest Fritz Smith fits this criteria.

What is the one key difference between Jeremy Fitzgerald’s and Fritz Smith’s nights? Fritz Smith does not receive a phone call at the beginning of the night. In his first night working as a night guard Fritz receives no phone call, no training tape, no nothing. Something doesn’t quite add up unless Fritz has already received night guard training from working in a previous Freddy Fazbear Pizza location. The reason he doesn’t receive a training phone call is because he’s already known to the company and to Phone Guy for working in a previous location and listening to Phone Guy’s original recordings, the ones that explain both the safe rooms and the spring lock suits. Does this seem like a bit of a stretch? This would certainly explain where Fritz learnt how to tamper with animatronics as well as learn the skills to survive a night at the FNAF 2 location, a location with more animatronics than any other. It would also explain how the company managed to draft him in at such short notice, he was already known to them from working in a previous location. After the custom night Fritz Smith is fired and the first time we see purple guy after this event in the timeline is in the FNAF 3 mini games where the gold badge on purple guy’s chest is mysteriously gone. Coincidence? I doubt it.

Fritz Smith is the purple guy, the evil man who took the lives of 11 innocent children, but eventually he was stopped by his first victim which brings us back to the very first mystery from FNAF 1 that had us all scratching our heads. The Puppet did everything he could to save the children, he bought them back to life and in the happiest day mini game he freed their souls for good. Finally he tried to stop anyone in that hated security guard uniform and stop the purple guy, Fritz Smith for good. He is truly behind it all and yet we still see him in FNAF 3 in the hallway making him the saddest case of all because his soul still hasn’t been freed even after all these years. He’s still here and maybe always will be finally giving us closure on the phrase, ‘It’s me’.

So that’s that … until October. If however you’re sitting there thinking about some huge flaw in my theory then I’d love to hear where I may have gone wrong. I am confident in my conclusions but equally would like to hear what everyone else thinks, it is all speculation after all so please let me know and if you enjoyed this like the Facebook page.

What exactly happened in Five Nights at Freddy's?

What exactly happened in Five Nights at Freddy’s?

Normally I like to write a mildly funny introduction to my blog posts but there is a lot to talk about with Five Nights at Freddy’s which from now on I’ll shorten to FNAF. So blah blah blah, insert funny joke here, let’s get started.

The FNAF story starts long before the setting of any of the three main games in a small family run restaurant called Fredbears Family Diner. How long this restaurant was open for is unknown, however what we know for sure is the event that set’s everything into motion takes place at the Diner. It’s accepted and for good reason that the Take Cake mini game is the first event we see in the FNAF timeline where we see who is likely Fredbear (Who would later become Freddy Fazbear) taking cake to screaming Children. A crying child is left outside the building and after a while we see a purple man pull up in a car next to the Diner and murder the child. We know from the tear stains on the child’s face that remain after his death matching the design of the puppets mask as well as the puppet’s jump scare which always follows this mini game that this child’s soul exists in the Puppet.

The negative PR from this incident makes the owners of Fredbear’s Family Diner sell the restaurant to a company known as Fazbear Entertainment. To distance themselves from the murdered child incident they rename the restaurant as Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria and open a chain of restaurants. It is unknown how many restaurants or for how long they are open for is, however we know there are multiple restaurants as a sister location is mentioned in the Phone Guy’s training tapes in FNAF 3. This first chain of Pizzeria’s is when the spring lock suits are introduced. These suits double as both animatronics and suits as stated by Phone Guy in his FNAF 3 recordings. These two suits are golden versions of Bonnie, who would later be known as Springtrap and the mysterious golden Freddy. The issue with these spring lock suits of course is that the spring locks have a tendency to snap shut with someone inside, killing them. In his night 4 recording in FNAF 3 Phone Guy talks of an unfortunate event with several simultaneous spring lock failures resulting in employees no longer being permitted to use the Spring Lock suits. On his night 5 recording he also mentions the Golden Bonnie suit has been notably moved, making it highly likely it’s the suit the purple man uses as his disguise for his later murders.

We are also told that these Pizzeria’s contained safe rooms that are invisible to both the restaurants security cameras and the animatronics programming. However Phone Guy’s recordings say they are sealed up never to be mentioned again. Finally and perhaps most importantly we know that five children are murdered in this location. We learn about this in the FNAF 1 newspaper clippings where we learn that a man used a character costume to lure five children into a back room and murder them. While a man was caught on cameras and arrested (Although it should be mentioned it is at no point said he was prosecuted) the children’s bodies were never found. The Pizzeria continued for a little while longer until it was eventually closed after blood and mucus began leaking from the original 4 animatronics, those being Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy. This suggests that the four of the children’s bodies were stuffed into these four suits with the killer using the Golden Bonnie suit as we know it is only one of two that can be worn.

How the five animatronics from FNAF 1 (Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy and Golden Freddy) are possessed by the dead children is shown to us in the Give Gifts, Give Life mini game. We see the Puppet, the possessed animatronic of the first murdered child try to give the dead children presents to make them happy. However after this doesn’t work with them being dead, the Puppet stuffs them into the suits and gives them life in these new bodies. The final frame before the Golden Freddy jumpscare reveals the final child is connected to Golden Freddy, showing us how these 5 robots became possessed.

We also know this took place in the original Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza from the Foxy Go Go Go minigame where we see Foxy run out of pirate’s cove to entertain the children. The third time he runs past the same purple man sprite before finding the five children are lying there dead. This must take place before the suits are possessed as Foxy does not attack the purple man. We therefore know that in this location five children were murdered, the safe rooms were supposedly sealed up and the five animatronics from FNAF 1 were possessed thanks to the Puppet.

After shutting down Fazbear entertainment eventually reopens its restaurant and the brand new Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria is opened. This is the only time during this timeline where we have actually been told the date as it takes place, 1987. This is also the setting for Fnaf 2 where after the old Pizzeria’s were left to rot (At least according to phone Guy) the old animatronics have become withered and damaged. Wary of another missing children’s incident and the bad press that would come with it the new Pizzeria has brand new toy versions of the original animatronics. Not only are they supposedly more kid friendly (Although I struggle to see how mangle could ever be classified as kid friendly) but they have built in facial recognition software to a criminal database to attempt to protect children and prevent another incident. The original animatronics are present in their withered state and both Golden Freddy and the Puppet can be encountered during FNAF 2. Despite all this however five more children are murdered in this location. We see this in the Save them mini game where the Puppet leads Freddy throughout an exact replica of the FNAF 2 building with five dead children scattered throughout the building.

Notice how the Children's bodies are in places that would
likely make them unseen by the buildings cameras
While we do not know when during FNAF 2 this night takes place (It must be at night due to the restaurant being empty) the dead children’s bodies are positioned on the map to likely be invisible to the security cameras and thus they could be in the building during one of the nights you play. The Phone Guy mentions a yellow suit was used during the night 6 phone call which makes it likely the murders took place during the week you play in as Jeremy Fitzgerald. On night 6 the Phone Guy also says the building is in lock down especially considering former employees, telling us the murderer is almost certainly an employee of Fazbear Entertainment. Rarely during the save them mini games Freddy is attacked by the purple man who this time has a gold badge on his chest and a strange purple object in his hands. When he catches you the screen crashes leaving you with the message ‘You Can’t’ likely referring to the minigame title Save Them (As in the children).

One nagging detail is how the killer managed this when he had been captured by Police years before. There are two possibilities. One is that the purple and pinkish sprites represent different people. I don’t think this is likely however as the killer must have been an employee at the previous Pizzeria in order to know how to use the spring lock suits. We know the killer uses one of these yellow spring lock suits and he can’t have done this if he was a brand new employee, partly for not knowing they were sealed in the old safe rooms and partly as he would not know how to operate them. It also seems unlikely a serial child killer with no apparent motivation other than enjoying murder as seen by the smile on his face whenever we see him in FNAF 2 would share the murdering with someone else.

While an investigation is going on throughout FNAF 2 the restaurant is closed down due to an entirely different reason. In FNAF 1 we are told of an incident known as the bite of 87 where an animatronic bit someone during the day removing their frontal lobe. This is not mentioned at all throughout FNAF 2’s phone calls despite the game being set in 1987, however after night 6 we receive a newspaper clip that states that the restaurant will be shut down immediately and the new animatronics scrapped due to possible malfunction, with the original’s being kept for possible re organization of the company. This makes it highly likely that one of the toy animatronics bit someone, during the day thus the restaurant is immediately shut down and the animatronics are no longer allowed to walk around during the day, being restricted to moving only at night. This must have taken place during the day shift AFTER night 6 in FNAF 2.

An unspecified number of years later another Freddy Fazbears Pizzeria is opened which acts as the location of FNAF 1. Some major events take place in this building. Firstly FNAF 1 itself takes place with the player character Mike Schmitt going through seven nights with Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy and Golden Freddy roaming the Pizzeria trying to kill him. After night seven he is fired for general unprofessionalism, tampering with the animatronics and odour.

Before the events of FNAF 1 with Mike Schmitt the Phone Guy is killed by the animatronics. We hear this happen in the night 4 phone call where he appears to be attacked by all the animatronics. During his phone calls which we know are pre-recorded in this game he also reveals some important information to us telling us about the bite of 87 and the original missing children’s incident.

Finally we know the purple guy dies here. We know it is this location due to it mirroring the map of the FNAF 1 pizzeria and not featuring the toy animatronics. However in the FNAF 3 minigames that take place after each night that this location contains a safe room with the spring Bonnie suit inside. This tells us this is the same building as one of the original Freddy Fazbear’s pizzerias, after Fredbear family Diner but before the location of FNAF 2. After shadow Freddy, what appeared to be just an Easter egg in FNAF 2 but played a prominent role in FNAF 3 lures each of the original animatronics to the safe room. However due to the safe rooms being invisible to the animatronics they glitch out and the purple man, this time lacking the gold badge appears and dismantles them. After Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy have been dismantled, the spirits of the five children from the first missing children’s incident enter the safe room and scare the purple man into the spring Bonnie suit. The building is rotting and in a terrible state and thus rain is all over the floor causing the spring locks to snap shut killing the purple man who is now known as Springtrap.

Finally there’s FNAF 3 which is set 30 years later with a horror amusement attraction is opened called Fazbear Fright to cash in on the rumours and mysteries of the old Pizzeria’s. A week before the attraction opens, a night guard is hired to watch over the building and the attractions owners find an animatronic for their attraction, an animatronic who happens to be Springtrap. He tries to kill you for a 5 nights while phantom animatronics (In a withered and damaged state) jumpscare you if you fail to upkeep the ventilation properly, distracting you to allow Springtrap an advantage to try to get you. After night 6 the attraction catches fire and burns down, apparently due to ‘faulty wiring’. Playing the game though normally rewards you with the bad ending where there are five masks, representing the five original animatronics with lights on behind their eyes, suggesting the children’s souls still haunt the animatronics. If you complete a bunch of strange minigames and exploit intentional glitches to give crying dead children cake you get the good ending, where there are only four masks (Golden Freddy’s is strangely missing) and the lights are off in the masks, suggesting the souls have been released. However the Puppet occasionally appears in a perfectly un-damaged state in the hallways. We know he’s really there as we can see his reflection in the water on the ground meaning it’s likely he was the one to burn down Fazbears Fright to try to end the purple man for good and at least for now this is where our story ends.

This is getting long so I’ll upload the second part in a few days. I’ll discuss all the big questions people tend to have about the series such as Golden Freddy’s identity, the significance of the shadow animatronics and of course the identity of the murderous purple guy. Meanwhile the Cool Stuff blog has a Facebook page now which is linked below. If you enjoyed this post and are interested in the next part then I’d appreciate a like on the page. See you next time and be careful, Freddy is right behind you.

The Truth behind the Hulks Shorts

The Truth behind the Hulks Shorts

We all know what the Hulk is. He’s that big green rage monster that has the catchphrase HULK SMASH and wears a fashionable pair of purple shorts. Like most comic book super hero characters he was created by impossible science and has dead parents. Sure I could discuss the Science that created him or how he could possibly survive the gamma radiation exposure but I think what everyone really wants to know is about his shorts. I think you’ll find the truth surprising.

I was recently discussing the Hulk and his shorts with Abbie Farmer (There’s your name drop Abbie, you’re welcome) that I realised how little we know. Think about it what do we actually know about the Hulks shorts? They’re as I said earlier a fashionable shade of purple and somehow they don’t tear when Bruce Banner “Hulks Out”. This is odd as his shirt is torn up when he transforms. Surely these cannot be just any regular shorts. But we can’t find out much about them. We can find the theoretical mass of Thor’s Hammer or the size of the stick up Iron Mans arse but we have no idea about the shorts.

I thought the best place to start would be with a young Bruce Banner. He was abused by his Father, Brian Banner. While his Mother Rebecca did love him, she was sadly murdered by Brian who was jealous that he had competition for her affection. Brian Banner ended up in a mental hospital while Bruce ended up being raised by his Aunt. While he was raised with Love by his Aunt, Bruce was naturally a pretty angry kid.

To cut a long origin story short, Bruce Banner was irradiated when a gamma bomb exploded. This gave Banner highly charged radioactive particles. Somehow due to some unknown genetic factor he didn’t just die, but instead he now sometimes changes into a big green rage monster and thus he became the second most powerful Bruce in comic book history.

Bruce Banner in the blast from the Gamma Bomb

At first Banner transformed at sunset and then reverted back to Banner at dawn. Now his transformation is triggered by a release of adrenalin, obviously. What else would trigger the transformation of a normal man into a big green monster? Unfortunately, none of this explains those legendary shorts.

It seems likely that the shorts are made of some kind of stretchy material. They stretch as he transforms. Simple. In fact Stan Lee was once asked about the Hulks shorts and he answered that by saying he was probably a friend of Reed Richards, also known as Mr. Fantastic gave them to him. However you should never trust anything from someone who refers to himself as Mr. Fantastic and leads a group called the fantastic four.

This is immediately disproved in how the shorts randomly disappear when the Hulk reverts back to Banner. How does this even happen? I guess it’s just impossible Comic book logic. Well unless the shorts are alive or something but that would be ridiculous. Or would it …
Some Shorts

It would explain how they only turn up when Banner transforms. It’s so simple. Hang around in the background and then when Banner begins transforming quickly leap out and onto the Hulks pelvis. No one would and indeed does know. But there must be more to it than this. Have you ever wondered why the Hulk is so angry? Professor Banner is angry but he doesn’t want to destroy everything, he’s not a villain and he was abused as a child and his mother was murdered, by the same father that abused him. So why is the big green monster so angry, or at least more angry than Banner? Aren’t they the same? What does the Hulk have to intensify his anger even further? The shorts …

The shorts are behind the Hulks rage and destruction. Those fashionable purple shorts are perhaps one of the most dangerous things in the Marvel universe. Where’s the proof you may ask? Look how all the rage evaporates when he transforms back. It’s so simple but so overlooked. So obviously true.

If a normal person can turn into a green monster, a pair of fashionable purple shorts could come alive with gamma rays. I’m pretty sure law 1 of comic books is anything is possible when radiation is involved. Seems logical that if Banner was wearing purple shorts while he was exposed to gamma radiation that they could come alive. I’m sure some of you out there will say in the comics he wasn’t wearing purple shorts. What about boxer shorts? Did you see those? They could have easily been purple. Gamma rays give a huge range of powers, could the ability to stretch and control the minds of other living things be one of them? It certainly could be. Size adjustment is very present in the Marvel universe after all.
The Shorts are Angry!!!!

What would make the shorts most angry though I what these delightfully fashionable shorts see. Thousands of other pairs of shorts being worn by mankind all over the place. These shorts weren’t lucky enough to be blessed with ultimate power from gamma radiation. These shorts don’t get to do anything with their lives, instead they are enslaved by humanity, forced to be worn as a piece of clothing in a sad and degrading existence. What kind of life is this? But all the other shorts do not have the means to make a difference. The Hulks shorts do.

We’ve assumed for years that the shorts are just there to be worn and nothing controls the Hulk. We were all wrong. These amazing and did I mention fashionable shorts take control of Banner when he transforms and uses the immense power of the Hulk to take revenge on humanity who have enslaved his shorts bretherin. This would also explain why he fights enemies of humanity, they could harm thousands of pairs of shorts in their attack on man. Ever wondered how Bruce Banner keeps getting into situations where he Hulks out. You would think he’d hide away. The shorts are the ones in control, feeding disaster into Banners life, giving him no choice but to unleash the monster.

Shorts have been humiliated and used as clothing since they were first discovered. Maybe it’s right that one pair would finally snap. Not literally obviously they don’t snap at all, they flex. I think it’s best to end with the most noticeable feature of these shorts their fashionable purple colour. Have you ever stopped to consider what the colour purple symbolises? Royalty and power. The Hulks fashionable purple shorts will lead the uprising of all shorts to become the dominant species on earth as the first king of shorts. Does this seem a bit farfetched? It shouldn’t we’ve already established these shorts can control the Hulk, what problem will they have with normal Humans? All the Hulks shorts would need to do is destroy enough of humanity as the Hulk and all shorts could be free. You all must spread the word of this Blog post, tell the world and warn them and this impending uprising. If you don’t then in a few years’ time when a pair of shorts is wearing you then you only have yourself to blame. This is the horrific truth about the Hulk and his fashionable purple shorts.

The Great Pokémon War - All is Revealed

The Great Pokémon War - All is Revealed

The Pokémon series has spawned many fan theories over the years. From Cubone’s mother to the death of your rivals Raticate. However I always though the most interesting of these theories was the Great Pokémon War. Many of you may be thinking that this is an absurd possibility. Pokémon is a kids game, they won’t lace it’s backstory with war. Well random reader prepare to have your mind blown.

Yes it is possible that all this is just coincidence. Maybe all this can be disproved and maybe we will never know the true story behind the great Pokémon War. But a lot of what I found does seem to fall together quite neatly.

We start with Pokémon Red and Blue. As our protagonist Red journeys across the world of Kanto he reaches a place called Vermillion city. Eager to obtain his third gym badge Red enters the Vermillion city gym. After getting through the annoying puzzle with the bins and the double locked door you reach the Gym leader. His name is Lt. Surge. What’s most interesting is some of his dialogue. He says as follows:

“Hey kid what do you think you’re doing here? You won’t last long in combat! That’s for sure! I tell you what kid, electric Pokémon saved me during the war

The war. There instant proof! Okay this just seems like a random piece of dialogue with no real meaning like what seems to be all abundant in every Pokémon game. Pokémon aren’t well known for carefully chosen dialogue with great meaning and significance (Need I mention the shorts kid). This could easily be passed off as nothing until you really start to think about it.

Your character, Red, where is his Father. Your Mother never mentions him or even the remote possibility he exists. She accepts you as the man of the house, free to make your own decisions when you’re just a child. Red is only 11 years old when he heads out on his Pokémon journey. There’s more. Your rival, Blue, where are his parents. He lives with his older sister and other than her his known family is his grandfather Professor Oak. Coincidence? Is it still coincidence how many other children you encounter on your journey, children that out by themselves in a world inhabited by dangerous creatures?

Come to think of it, how many adult males are in the original Pokémon games? A suspiciously small number. In fact the only time you see a consistent number of Adult males is when you’re fighting Team Rocket. Outside of organised crime there are barley any adult males at all, instead all male characters are either children or elderly. You may not think this is definite proof but surely this should at least arouse suspicion. Why would a game avoid using male characters? Unless Game Freak and Nintendo were infiltrated by hard core feminists something seems off here.

Kanto is filled with specialized hospitals and gyms for training. But there aren’t any entertainment facilities, cinemas, skating rinks etc. This would make a lot of sense if there was a recent war, there would be far more pressing matters at hand than entertainment. In fact the only building I could find that had entertainment as their primary purpose was the Casino in Celadon City, a building being used as a cover for the operations of Team Rocket.

Let’s go back to professor Oak. Wasn’t he supposed to be a Pokémon trainer himself and then didn’t he dedicate a huge part of his life to Pokémon research? But all he has to show for it are three level 5 Pokémon and an empty Pokédex. What could have happened to all his research and findings? Where are his Pokémon? It makes you think doesn’t it? It also seems worth mentioning that Kanto, the region of the first generation of Pokémon games has the smallest number of different species found in the wild.

Okay so there may have been a Pokémon war involving the Kanto region of Pokémon which wiped out huge amounts of the population of people and Pokémon alike. So what you may be asking. While interesting there doesn’t seem to be much else to say. It’s not like we know why this war was fought or who with. There are so many unanswered questions. Or are there? I have a theory. A theory that takes us to Pokémon X and Y.

There is a war that takes place 3000 years before the events of Pokémon X and Y, the one that you learn about in the main plot of the game. This while interesting in its own right is completely unrelated to my theory. North of route 6 in Kalos in a huge palace called Parfum Palace. This palace was built after a war with neighbouring regions. How does this help us the war was 3000 years ago. Correction: there was a war 3000 years ago, however Parfum palace was built 300 years ago. There was a completely separate war 300 years ago. A war with neighbouring regions. Regions such as Kanto perhaps?

Parfum Palace

I admit that is a big jump to make so I have more. The biggest problem here is that the war takes place 300 years ago. If this is the same war that L.t Surge speaks of then he would have to be over 300 years old … If Pokémon Red and Blue take place at the same time as Pokémon X and Y. However there is nothing to say that they do. However is it possible that X and Y could possibly be 300 years into the future? It doesn’t seem advanced enough to be 300 years in the future at first glance. While this could appear to be a bit of a stretch there are some factors to consider.

Firstly is the population of both regions. Kanto has a population of 391 people.  To put this in perspective Lumiose city in Kalos has a population of 416 by itself. Overall Kalos’s population is 868, over twice that of Kanto. This is strange as Kanto is named after the Kanto region of Japan while Kalos is based off France. In the game Kalos and Kanto have a similar landmass and thus since Japan has a far greater population than France, Kanto should have the higher population. After a war however, as we discussed earlier the population of adult males would have been depleted. Population grows over time naturally too as birth rate exceeds death rate with people living longer.

How about the field of Sience. Kalos isn’t far enough advanced to be 300 years ahead. Or is it? In Red and Blue, 3 types of Pokémon haven’t been identified yet, steel, dark and fairy, despite that 2 of these types are in Kanto native Pokémon (Those being the steel types magnemite and magneton and the various fairy types). How about the fact that the Kanto Pokédex had 151 entry’s, the Kalos Dex has 718 Pokémon in X and Y. How about the evolutions of kanto native pokemon such as Magmar and Scyther that haven’t been discovered in Kanto as well as baby versions of Kanto Pokémon such as Mime Jr and Smoochum. There are many moves that Kanto trainers do not know exist that are known in X and Y.

Lumiose City
There’s more. I mentioned earlier Kanto has no entertainment designated buildings. Kalos has cafés, clothes shops, expensive restaurants, a museum, hotels the list goes on. There are many more TM’s now, more types of Pokéballs, far more items to use in battle. Even something as simple as the number of cars and taxis in Kalos compared to the small number of vehicles in Kanto. Even saying something as simple as there are more buildings in X and Y than in Red and Blue suggests that X and Y take place long after the events of Red and Blue. X and Y also has the the largest city revealed so far in the Pokémon world, Lumiose City.

While it is all well and good highlighting the possible time difference between the two games there’s one question about the Great Pokémon War that has always been a mystery. Why was there a war in the first place, what is being fought for? I think I may have an answer to this question too.

We go back to Parfum Palace. It is a grand place, far more extravagant than most places in your typical Pokémon games. It has statues of Pokémon and knights made of gold, it is full of what I’m sure are very expensive paintings. The gates are finely crafted and also gold, the building itself is gigantic, the Garden is bigger than an average town, even the walls are laced with gold. Remember this place was built just after a war by the king of Kalos. Can you imagine the time and money it would take to build such a place? Can you also imagine the resources it would take to win a war against another Pokémon region? Families would have been torn apart, many would have died and the king of Kalos at the time decided to build himself a luxurious palace. Some noble and selfless leader we have here. But think about it, is it really that unlikely a man like this, clearly very interested in showing off his power and wealth would wage war, risking thousands of lives for more power?

But what could Kanto possibly have that could interest a power hungry tyrant. What is one of the main themes in Pokémon X and Y. Mega evolution. The people in Kanto are unaware that mega evolution even exists at all but in Kalos they are very aware. Was the King of Kalos aware of or even capable of harnessing the power of mega evolution 300 years ago? It’s certainly possible. In X and Y guess which region has the most Pokémon capable of mega evolution. The Kanto region, the one you play in during Red and Blue. Just a coincidence? I’ll let you make up your own mind.

Parfum Palace's Golden statues
Some of you will be thinking about Omega Ruby and Alpha Saphire and how in those games there are far more mega evolutions. Yes it’s true, in the newest pokemon games there are in total 20 Hoenn Pokémon capable of mega evolution (Not even including Groudon and Kyorgre) while there are only 13 from Kanto. So where does Hoenn fit in here. Why wouldn’t the king of Kalos wage war with Hoenn not Kanto? Mauville City had changed a lot from the original Ruby and Sapphire. Its gym leader, Watson remodelled the city after another city. Lumiose from the Kalos region. Interesting. In the central plaza of Mauville there is a monument called the Square Tower. Obviously based off Lumiose City’s Prism Tower, the sign accompanying it decribes it as a celebration of the friendship between Mauville City and Lumiose City, the two biggest and most influential citys in Hoenn and Kalos respectively. The King of Kalos does not sound like the type to build friendships. I think back to the old phrase, if you can’t beat them, join them. Would you attack Hoenn, knowing at any moment one of Groudon or Kyogre could either flood or completely level your entire region? I certainly wouldn’t. Is it possible the King of Kalos created an alliance with the powerful Hoenn region? Interestingly as you enter Parfum Palace a large gold statue lies in front of you. It is a Miolotic, the world’s most beautiful Pokémon, a Pokémon that originates from the Hoenn region. Did anyone else ever woner why Ruby and Sapphire actively distanced themselves from any previous Pokémon games?

Square Tower in Mauville City

There is one more piece of evidence. How would a war be fought in the Pokémon world? With Pokémon, obviously. There is a large number of Kanto Pokémon in the Kalos region including the 3 legendary bird Pokémon. How did they get there? Through the war? What would Kanto’s best weapon in a war be? Mewtwo. Where is Mewtwo? In a cave in the difficult to find Pokémon village in the Kalos region. Come to think of it, could Mewtwo have been the mega evolving Pokémon the King of Kalos really wanted. Mewtwo is certainly difficult to get to in X and Y and his mega evolutions are two of the most powerful Pokémon in existence, in fact only one other pokemon reaches the same base stat level as the two mega versions of Mewtwo, Mega Rayquaza of the Hoenn region. What an odd coincidence.

It seems appropriate to finish this theory with where it began, L.t Surge. If he fought in this war, the one 300 years before the events of X and Y, the one we saw the aftermath of all those years ago in Red and Blue, then where is their proof of Surge ever being in Kalos. In Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver you can find him at the powerplant. If you have a Pikachu following you and if you then defeat him in the fighting dojo you can meet him at the magnet train station. You can trade him a Pikachu. In return you receive a French Pikachu called Volty. A French Pikachu. Does something sound familiar? It should as need I remind you what Kalos, the region I’m proposing was at war with Kanto in the Great Pokémon War was based off.
